As a member of the board of Doctors Nova Scotia, I have spoken at the Nova Scotia Legislature Standing Committee on Public Accounts regarding virtual care in 2022 and the Nova Scotia Legislature Standing Committee on Health regarding physician shortages in 2020, surgical wait times in 2022, physician recruitment in 2024, and primary health care attachment in 2025. I also attended the Standing Committee on Health on behalf of the Healthy Tomorrow Foundation promoting physical activity in 2024 and the North End Community Health center in 2025 advocating for universal first dollar contraception coverage.

I am a vocal advocate for publicly funded healthcare, national pharmacare, and health equity.
